Just to let you know that even though Blackout was released on August 10th 2005, over three years ago now, a second edition will be coming out in November, along with a first edition of Dying Thoughts - First Touch.

To celebrate this, the community will get an overhaul, new background and primary icon to reflect that more than one of my books are out there for the general public to read...how exciting!

The website was recently updated and I need a review (or two) for Dying Thoughts - Third Wish so if you're interested or have read it and want to do a review, leave a comment here and feel free to post the review here and I'll transfer it to the website. If you want to review any of the other books, the same applies. If you want to review and haven't yet read the book in question, contact me through my e-mail address or through the LJ message system and I'll send you a copy.

There should also be a couple of new interviews regarding the upcoming releases so watch out for those!

I've just spoken to one of my final betas - Steve - and he feels that throughout the whole book the sisters are too understanding of each other, cut each other too much slack and he's not sure real sister would do that...I need opinons on this and I need them fast because if you agree, the book will need a re-write and that thought just gives me a headache...

Dying Thoughts: Second Sight, featuring the return of Tara and her best friend Kaolin is not a book to be missed. The style and prose of the book merges with a snappy dialogue to create a storyline that is both intense and believable. Moving the reader from tears to laughter to anger in the space of a few paragraphs, Joey Paul’s writing is riveting and this book is an excellent example of a true teenage thriller.

The storyline moves along at a pleasant pace; with both Tara’s school life and work with the police not balancing out quite as much as she would wish, you find yourself siding with the heroine in her frustration when teachers and ‘fellow-pupils’ such as Jody (who, I must agree with Tara, is the anti-Christ) stir up trouble and place obstacles in the way of Tara’s efforts to solve another murder.

As ever, the book revolves around death and Tara’s ability to see people’s dying moments by touching objects belonging to the person. The reader finds themselves at times shaken by some of the darker moments of the story, which seems takes Tara’s gift to a new level, with even more emotional impact than the first book.

The profound effect of Tara’s gift on her life becomes clearer in this book; and with the introduction of a new character Cassie, the secrecy of her gift and her work with the police becomes key.

With characters that you can believe are real and with a plot that keeps you on your toes, Dying Thoughts: Second Sight is an incredible read and I’d recommend it to everyone.

It's the chance for people who have read the book to give a review in one line and I'll add that to the website with your first name and age...so please send them to the usual address and I'll add them one I've convinced saturrrday or sushigal007 to do it, or have worked it out myself..
